I really don't have much to say this week.
So, I think that video games today are redefining how we define video games and their genres. Video games are crossing into new boundaries and creating new genres. I think it is too hard to simply say these are the genres of video games and these are the games that should be placed in this category. We should keep it simple and not have 42 genres, that's way too many.

hehe 42 ahem so I think way to much attention is put into genres. Especially when it has so many different ways it can go that they don't know how to advertise it.
ReplyDelete42 would be a lot. I think it is the businessmen and the media who actually stress the whole genre thing if you can get people to define themselves as someone who only plays first person shooters. Then they will make sure to hold on to that by going and buying that genre, FPS happen to be the more expensive compared to the others.
